Bragg Creek is a small hamlet in Southern Alberta under the jurisdiction of Rocky View County in Division #6.Located 30 km (19 miles) west of Calgary via Highways 8 & 22. It is located north of the intersection of Highway 66 & Highway 22.


History Note: Named after Albert Warren Bragg from Collingwood, Nova Scotia and his 14-year old brother John Thomas who lived in the area in 1894. The community was established between a forestry reserve of the Sarcee Indian Reserve and the Provincial Park. Ranching was the original primary economic generator for Bragg Creek. The economy diversified with the emergence of recreation in the 1920’s.


Redwood Meadows is a small hamlet next to Bragg Creek on First Nation land to the East
