FINAL WALKTHROUGH CHECKLIST
When you purchase a home, the purchaser has the option of requesting a final walkthrough of the property before possession day to ensure everything is in order. There is no “pre-possession walkthrough” clause in the standard Residential Purchase Contract.
As such, if your client requires a walkthrough, and the seller(s) agree, then a term must be written into the contract. Having a checklist handy can help to ensure that you will cover everything important during the walkthrough. Below, is a checklist that is commonly used and is in line with the standard Residential Purchase Contract.
