Upper North Haven is a small, well-established residential neighbourhood in north west Calgary that’s part of the larger North Haven area. It lies at the easterly base of Nose Hill Park, giving residents quick access to one of the largest urban natural parks in North America with its extensive walking and mountain-biking trails. The community was officially established in 1991 when it was separated from the old Thorncliffe/Greenview area, though development in the general North Haven area began much earlier.
Upper North Haven is known for its quiet, family-oriented vibe, mature trees and views over the city, and enjoys close proximity to amenities, major roads such as John Laurie Boulevard and 14 Street NW, and easy access downtown. Community life is supported by the North Haven Community Association, which runs social and recreational programs for residents.
