History: Millarville dates back to the late 1800's, with settlers primarily arriving from Britain & Eastern Canada. The area was named after the Millar family, who were among the early settlers & played a significant role in the development of the Community. Ranching & Farming became part of Millarville’s identity, a tradition that continues today.
Historic Landmark: is the Millarville Anglican Church, built in 1896, one of the oldest still-operating churches in Alberta. Another key institution is the Millarville Racetrack, established in 1905, which hosts the annual Millarville Races — one of Canada’s oldest continuing horse race events. This racetrack is also home to the popular Millarville Farmers’ Market, which draws visitors from all over the region during the summer months.
