Established in 1912, Ogden was named after I.G. Ogden, a former vice president of the Canadian Pacific Railroad (CPR). The area was also influenced by W.J. Millican, a lawyer & land developer, whose plans contributed to the Community's development, though he wasn't the one who actually developed it. The community was originally built by the CPR & its history is closely intertwined with the Railroad.
